If you haven’t previously tried Blinkbox, the on-demand television and movie service run by TalkTalk, you may be missing out.
Blinkbox is a great way to buy or rent select titles from a large library of films and television shows. Their collection features everything from brand new releases like Pixar’s Inside Out to classic movies from Hollywood history. With apps for your smartphone, tablet and television, they can then be streamed absolutely anywhere provided you have access to a WiFi connection.
Film and TV fans who haven’t tried Blinkbox yet couldn’t pick a better time to start. The on-demand service is currently letting new users try it out with just £1 on their first purchase. When you sign up with you email address and place £1 in your account you will immediately get £3.49 credit to rent any title in standard definition. This includes brand new releases such as Magic Mike XXL, Southpaw, Ant-Man and Fantastic Four.
Blinkbox works on Mac and Windows computers. It also streams on game consoles, smartphones, tablets and smart TVs. Tesco originally owned an 80 per cent stake in the business in hopes of challenging iTunes’ digital content. However, it was sold to Guvera in 2005.
